# Payment and Account Management


### Payment Methods

Galaxy accepts these major credit cards for your convenience:

* Visa
* MasterCard
* American Express
* Discover

| To deploy, we require a valid credit card for identity verification. Our payment processor places a small temporary hold to validate the card, which is automatically refunded to your account. You will only be charged by Galaxy if you deploy a paid app.

||| PayPal is no longer supported as a valid payment method.

You can view and update your payment details anytime through your Galaxy account settings.

### Monthly Statements

* A detailed statement is emailed to you at the beginning of each month
* Statements itemize usage by application and container type
* Access your billing history through your Galaxy profile (individual users) or organization page (teams)
* Download statements for your records or accounting purposes

### Managing Your Costs

#### Immediate Cost Control

While you cannot adjust charges for past usage, you can prevent future charges by:

1. **Stopping applications**: Apps with stopped containers (indicated by a full gray circle) incur no runtime charges
2. **Deleting applications**: Permanently remove apps you no longer need without any penalty
3. **Downsizing containers**: Reduce container sizes to minimize hourly costs

#### Regional Container Management

Remember to check all regions where you may have containers running: US Region, Europe Region, and Asia-Pacific Region.

#### Cost-Saving Tips

* There is no financial difference between stopping or deleting an app—both halt all charges
* For development or staging environments, consider stopping containers during non-working hours
* Regularly review your container usage across all regions to avoid unexpected charges
